Are you in-network with Delta Dental?
That depends on your specific plan, because Delta Dental sells many different plans through employers and directly to individuals. Call us with your card and we will tell you whether we are in-network for your plan, and what your share of the cost would be either way. Being out-of-network does not mean you cannot use your benefits with us; it usually means your share is higher.

What Delta Dental plans usually cover
Most PPO dental plans sort treatment into three levels, and your plan sets the percentages, the yearly deductible and the annual maximum. These are typical figures, not a promise of coverage; we confirm your actual numbers when we check your benefits.
- Preventive care, such as exams, cleanings and routine X-rays: often covered at or near 100%.
- Basic care, such as fillings and simple extractions: often covered at about 70–80%.
- Major care, such as crowns, bridges and dentures: often covered at about 50%.
Some Delta Dental plans include Carryover Max, which lets you carry part of an unused annual maximum into the following year. It usually applies only if you used less than half of your maximum and had an exam or cleaning claim during the year, which is one more reason not to skip your checkup. We check whether your plan includes it.
Delta Dental plans often have a waiting period before major work is covered, and orthodontic coverage, where it exists, usually has a separate lifetime maximum. We check both when we verify your benefits.
