Are you in-network with Cigna?
That depends on your specific plan, because Cigna sells many different plans through employers and directly to individuals. Call us with your card and we will tell you whether we are in-network for your plan, and what your share of the cost would be either way. Being out-of-network does not mean you cannot use your benefits with us; it usually means your share is higher.

What Cigna plans usually cover
Most PPO dental plans sort treatment into three levels, and your plan sets the percentages, the yearly deductible and the annual maximum. These are typical figures, not a promise of coverage; we confirm your actual numbers when we check your benefits.
- Preventive care, such as exams, cleanings and routine X-rays: often covered at or near 100%.
- Basic care, such as fillings and simple extractions: often covered at about 70–80%.
- Major care, such as crowns, bridges and dentures: often covered at about 50%.
Cigna PPO plans often cover preventive visits without counting them against the annual maximum, which is useful if you are planning larger treatment later in the year. We check whether yours works that way.

Is my Cigna plan a DPPO or a DHMO?
Your card usually shows which. DHMO plans pay only at the office they assign you to, so call us first and we will check whether our office is listed for your plan.
Does Cigna cover dental implants?
Some Cigna plans cover part of an implant, some cover only the crown on top of it, and some exclude implants entirely. We check your plan and give you a written cost estimate before treatment.
